Situated in a picturesque oak savanna, this new home is designed with a plan that appears to have evolved over the last century. With stunning views in every direction, our intention was to design a home that was very linear and rambling, with most areas only 1-2 rooms deep. This allows views and light to enter on multiple walls of each space. Two main wings converge into a central tower (complete with a pigeonnier), which also serves as the main entry and rear courtyard entry. Windows will be a combination of copper and steel. A slate roof will cover the multiple wings of the home, with wall materials varying from rough stone, stucco, and waney wood.
