Lake Minnetonka – Spanish Revival
Scroll to viewThis Spanish Revival residence was built on the shores of Lake Minnetonka in Orono in 1931, which at the time was an expansive property that also served as an apple orchard (with some apple trees still remaining today). The home includes beautiful features such as original steel windows, intricate ornamental ironwork, and hand-crafted Spanish tile. Our clients loved the original structure, but certain rooms were not optimal for capturing lake views, or functioning well for a modern day family. We reorganized the spaces in the original structure, while incorporating an addition that houses a new kitchen and garage wing, along with a new loggia / entry that opens to an elevated lakeside terrace with outdoor fireplace.
