We are a close-knit, highly collaborative team of professional listeners and dream makers who don’t take ourselves too seriously, like penguins. Formed in 2003, we specialize in the residential design of classic, time honored homes in a diverse range of styles. We do not have a signature look – instead, we are an ego-free office sought after by clients who desire a home that feels as if it’s always been there, and our diversity comes from listening very well to our clientele.

We like to hand draw – it’s romantic and excites people. But we also embrace technology – to the point where we can make an actual model of your custom newel post. We are authentic – we study and we study more. We are passionate down to fine architectural details rarely discussed these days, such as specific shadows cast by moulding profiles, all to make your home exquisite and architecturally correct.

Our work has been featured in numerous publications and blogs worldwide, with projects extending beyond Minnesota – including California, Ireland, Colorado, Portugal, North Carolina, Michigan, and Idaho, just to name a few. The business side is just as important to us as the design, and our team meets constantly to tweak and hone our systems to make your experience with us a smooth ride, like a ‘73 Eldorado.
