WE ARE a close-knit, highly collaborative team of thoughtful listeners and imaginative problem-solvers who take our work seriously, though never ourselves too seriously. Founded in 2003, we specialize in the architecture of timeless homes across a diverse range of styles. We do not subscribe to a signature aesthetic. Instead, we are an ego-free practice sought out by clients who desire homes that feel as though they have always belonged — places rooted in context, character, and authenticity. The diversity within our work is a direct reflection of listening carefully and responding thoughtfully to each client’s unique vision.

We still believe in drawing by hand. There is a romance and immediacy to sketching that creates excitement and helps ideas come alive. At the same time, we fully embrace technology and the opportunities it provides — right down to creating highly detailed models of a custom newel post. We are authentic in our approach and relentless in our curiosity. We study, and then study some more. Our passion extends to the finer architectural details that are often overlooked today: the proportions of a molding profile, the subtle shadows it casts, the quiet nuances that shape a home’s character. These details may seem small, but they are often what make a home feel enduring, exquisite, and architecturally true.

Our work has been featured in publications and blogs, with projects in places such as California, Colorado, Ireland, Portugal, North Carolina, Idaho, The Bahamas, and of course, Minnesota. Behind the scenes, our team is constantly refining and improving our systems to ensure the experience of working with us feels just as considered as the homes we create — thoughtful, seamless, and smooth enough to feel like cruising down the highway in a ’73 Eldorado.
